So, here are some points that'll help you to know something about 'The Antipode' :
- The Antipode is the jet concept having the potential to elevate the flying experience with its ability to break the sound barrier.
- The Antipode is a supersonic business aircraft that can able to reach speeds upto 16000 mph..!!
- On it's leading edges, the aircraft uses counter flowing jets of air to decrease heat and the sonic shock wave.
- The Antipode may take off from any type of airfield by attaching a reusable rockets boosters to its wings.
- These boosters will provide enough power to lift off the aircraft and climb upto 40000 feet, and this time it is capable to reach at Mach 5( where Mach = speed of a body/speed of the sound ).
- Once up in the air, those boosters would detach from the aircraft and return to the airbase.
- It is capable to reach Mach 24, and it is 12 times faster than Concorde.
- It is able to reach New York to London within 11 minutes, where normal plane takes around 8 hours..( If it is tested successfully.. )!!!
- It works on a LPM( long penetration mode ), which can decrease surface temperature, shock wave and noise.
- The Antipode is very suitable for high-profile personalities and governments officials who travel from one point of the globe to another as quickly as possible.
- Charles Bombardier, Joseph Hazeltine of Wyle Inc., and team designed the concept and Abhishek Roy from Lunatic Koncepts designed the images of the Antipode.
- The Antipode costs around 150 million USD.
