Did you know these about Christmas...?

Hi, friends...! How are you..? I think i don't need to ask that, because all should be happy in the preparations, or celebrations or may be in enjoyment these Christmas's holidays..right..??

So, i just wish you all my readers a Marry Christmas & a Very Prosperous and Happy New Year...!!-:) .  
So,, today let's say no to general stuffs, and know a very interesting facts about World's Favorite Festival - 'The Christmas', may be these all facts, you would read first time. 


Interesting Facts about Christmas :

  • 25th Dec is not the birthday of Jesus, but Pope Julius 1, bishop of Rome, proclaimed Dec 25 the official celebration date for the birthday of Christ.
  • The Christmas Tree is a manufactured tradition. Victorian intellectuals invented the tradition as the part of a social movement to reform Christmas away from its tradition of raucous drinking.
  • Santa Claus's look wasn't created by Coca-Cola, but whose look has been shaped by writers, artists and historians.
  • Santa has a real postal zip code,because every year post offices across America, Canada and other parts of the World are flooded with letters from kids addressed to Santa. So, the post workers started answering it,and after increasing the demand, they started the zip-code,and it is ( H0H 0H0 ).
  • All letters addressed to Santa in USA go to Santa Claus, Indiana.
  • 'Jingle Bells' was written for Thanksgiving, not for 'Christmas'.


  • One of the first commercially sold artificial Christmas trees was made from toilet brushes.
  • Teddy Roosevelt banned Christmas trees at the White House in matter of deforestation.


  • Christmas tree usually grow for about 15 years before they are sold.
  • Iceland has 13 Santas including one that kidnaps children named 'Gryla'.


  • Japanese people traditionally eat at KFC for Christmas dinner, and KFC is so popular that customers must place their Christmas orders 2 months in advance..!!
  • An artificial Christmas tree would have to be reused for more than 20 years to be 'greener' than buying a fresh-cut tree annually.
  • During the Christmas of 2010, the Colombian government covered jungle trees with lights.When FARC guerrillas(terrorists) walked by, the trees lit up and banners asking them to lay down their arms became visible. 331 guerrillas re-entered society and the campaign won an award for strategic marketing.
