So, i am going to start the Most Interesting Calories Burner(MICB) series.

Reading can burn your calories, it is just like that you are reading some weight losing tips and without doing it you are losing some amounts of calories.
Reading Lying Down :
140 pound person can burn 50 calories/hour, and a 160 pound person can burn 65 calories/hour by reading.
Reading Sitting :
Sit while reading can burn more calories. 140 pound person can burn 67, and 180 pound one can 86 calories/hour.
Comparative Science :
So, avg. person can burn 60-90 calories/hour, and it is equivalent to :

The more you weigh, the more you burn. It takes additional energy to circulate blood and to perform basic physiological functions while having greater mass.
So, don't gain weight to loose more by reading. (joke..)

The calories you burn while reading is on the basis of on basic metabolic and maintenance process.
Tips :
Workout between reading sessions or chew calories-free gum while reading to burn some extra calories.
