Hi...friends! I think you would see my last post, having title See, what the man can do..! , which was about 'Dabbawala'. In that post we discussed a little about them, some crazy talks about them.

So, today continuing that topic we are going to know about the 'Fame of the Dabbawalas'. After reading this post you'll may stun. So, let's start.

               

Some unbelievable facts about Dabbawalas : 
  • Dabbawalas give the best management knowledge..!
  • From IIM-A to Harvardtheir impeccable management skills have been studied and analysed in top business schools of the world..!  
  • Their unmatched efficiency and delivery process is the subject of the FedEX..!
  • Mr. Richard Branson is the most famous Dabbawala in the world. When he was in Mumbai, he travelled with Dabbawala and delivered a huge tiffin(lunchbox) to his own employees at Virgin,Mumbai.
  • In Nov,2003 Prince Charles met the famed Dabbawalas and they give their 20 minutes to him, because they could not take time off work.
  • 2 Dabbawalas were invited at Prince Charles wedding in 2005, out of 3 persons from India.
  • Several documentaries have been filmed on them.They have featured in various publications like, ForbesEconomist and tv shows like Top Gear, and Ripley's believe it or not.
  • Companies like HUL and Microsoft have tried distributing ad materials and flyers through Dabbawalas but it was too disruptive, so they abandoned that idea.
